Break-Ins Under Investigation in S. Brisbane, Logan

Police are appealing for information as they investigate multiple break-and-enters across Brisbane's south and Logan overnight, 26 June.

Around 12:23am, officers received a report of a group of masked offenders walking around the Heathwood area.

While conducting patrols, officers located an Aspen Street address that had been broken into, and a white 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross with Queensland registration 996YVZ was stolen.

Around 12:45am, a person armed with a bladed weapon reportedly attempted to gain access to a Barcoo Street, Runcorn address, but was unsuccessful and fled to a vehicle matching the description of the Mitsubishi stolen earlier.

Shortly after, around 1:16am, three people gained access to a Royal Esplanade, Manly address, where they were confronted by a male occupant, with a minor physical altercation occurring.

The male occupant, a 49-year-old man, managed to chase the offenders from the property; however, he sustained a laceration to his arm. No one else at the address was injured.

The group then fled the area in the Mitsubishi.

Around 1:46am, police believe the same group of people broke into an address at Amber Close, Eight Mile Plains, where they stole multiple items and fled the area again in the stolen Mitsubishi.

Around 2:25am, an attempt was made to gain access to a Denton Court, Daisy Hill address by the same group, but they were unsuccessful and fled.

Just after 3am, the group broke into a Blackthorn Crescent, Shailer Park address, where they stole a white 2020 Skoda Kodiaq with Queensland registration 186KE3 and fled the area.

Detectives from both the Bayside and Upper Mount Gravatt Criminal Investigation Branches are investigating these linked break-ins and are appealing for anyone with relevant information regarding the outstanding Mitsubishi and Skoda, or the group, to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
