Transport Victoria will be resurfacing the road on the tram lane along Bridge Road between Punt Road and Church Street, Richmond from 9pm on Friday 10 April to 4.30am on Monday 13 April 2026.
The works will be carried out 24/7. Vehicles, machinery, profilers, excavators and contractors will be on site and there will be high levels of noise.
Vehicle access will be available to properties in the Bridge Road precinct via alternative side streets and detours will be in place for bike riders, pedestrians and traffic.
Businesses located around the works will remain open. Please continue to support local business during these essential works.
Public Transport
There will be service changes to tram routes 48 and 75 during the works. Route 48 trams divert along Victoria Street. Route 75 trams divert along Swan Street. Buses replace Route 48 and Route 75 trams along Bridge Road.
Pedestrians
Footpaths will remain open around most of the work area. Some temporary footpath closures may occur while upgrades take place.
