A contractor incident at a different site has pushed back the night works on the Cedar Party Creek Bridge by another night.
MidCoast Council was made aware of the situation with the bypass and Wingham Road now being closed off to traffic on Friday 14 November from 6pm until 6am Saturday.
At that point traffic will then be diverted over the new construction before it will once again close to all traffic from 6pm Saturday afternoon.
Once again during this time no traffic will be able to access Wingham via Wingham Road.
At 6am Sunday morning the bridge will be open to traffic and remain open from that point on.
MidCoast Council's Director of Infrastructure and Engineering Services, Rob Scott said while unfortunate it was necessary to complete the works.
"Unfortunately, the date had to be put back again but this was out of our control," he said.
"I understand this may cause some frustration within the community, but the positive is, come Sunday the new Cedar Party Creek Bridge will be operational."
During the closure vehicles will be detoured via The Bucketts Way and Gloucester Road.
