Boston, MA (Nov. 7, 2019) — Brigham Health was awarded an 'A' in the fall 2019 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, released today by The Leapfrog Group. The designation recognizes Brigham Health's efforts in protecting patients from harm and providing safer health care. Brigham and Women's Hospital celebrates its fourth 'A' grade since the fall of 2017 while Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital's 'A' makes it one of just 36 hospitals nationwide to consistently earn that grade since the inception of the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade in 2012. The Safety Grade assigns grades from A-F to all general hospitals across the country based on their performance in preventing medical errors, injuries, accidents, infections and other harms to patients in their care.
