Brimbank SOCIT arrest in Sunshine West

Brimbank Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) detectives have charged a man following a series of alleged incidents where man was seen inappropriately touching himself in Sunshine West last month.

It is alleged the man was seen on two separate occasions on 11 and 21 September in the vicinity of Kororoit Creek Trail.

Police were called to a third alleged incident just before 5.30pm on 11 October and a 42-year-old man was arrested a short time later.

The Sunshine man was interviewed by SOCIT detectives the following day and charged with three counts of sexual activity directed at another person and three counts of sexual exposure.

He was bailed to appear at Sunshine Magistrates' court on 6 July 2021.
