Brisbane Winner Quietly Bags $1M Wednesday Lotto Prize

A Forest Lake shopper received a life-changing surprise after winning a $1 million prize in the recent Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw. The lucky ticket holder secured one of the two division one winning entries in the draw 4325, which was held on Wednesday, 27 September 2023.

With this, the Brisbane Southern Suburbs witnesses its sixth division one winning entry of the year, bringing the total prize money awarded in the region in 2023 to over $6.8 million.

The winner has opted to cherish this life-changing moment privately, choosing to remain anonymous. Their golden ticket was bought at Nextra Forest Lake News, located at Shop 23-24, Forest Lake Village Shopping, Forest Lake Boulevard, Forest Lake.

Speaking on the win, Nextra Forest Lake News manager, Jenny Ford, said, “It feels amazing. We’re absolutely over the moon to have graced another customer with a million-dollar win and who would’ve known it would happen less than a year after our previous win!” Reminiscing about the store's recent luck, she added, “The last time we sold a division one winning entry was on 29 December 2022 when we sold an entry in the $100 million Powerball draw. One of our customers took home $33 million. I don’t think we will ever be able to beat that but hopefully we do!”

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell also weighed in, expressing her delight for the winner: “While we may never know how they plan to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they’re unable to stop smiling after discovering their million-dollar win.” She continued, highlighting the varied ways winners utilize their newfound wealth, “Other winners tell us they use their windfall to help their families, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or complete an overseas odyssey.”

For the record, the winning numbers in the Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4325 were 15, 41, 14, 35, 4, and 5, with 20 and 37 serving as the supplementary numbers. The draw witnessed two division one winning entries from across the country, with the other lucky winner hailing from South Australia.
