Broadford Customer and Library Service Centre refurbishment

Mitchell Shire Council are partnering with the Victorian Government to complete a refurbishment and redesign of the Broadford Customer and Library Service Centre.

The Centre will be closed from Monday 16 May until the end of June for the works that will completely redesign the library.

The refurbishment and redesign will include a revised layout and creation of a user friendly, inviting, and accessible front counter enabling better interaction and connection with the community.

It will also include enhanced acoustic treatments, additional technology, modern accessible shelving and furniture, allowing for more flexible use of the space.

Part of the library's front wall will be removed and replaced with glass doors allowing direct access from the library to the outdoor courtyard, which will be fenced off, to expand the library footprint and enable greater activation of the library.

No customer services and library activities will be available at the Broadford Customer and Library Service Centre during the project.

However, a Customer and Library Services Officer will be available at the Broadford Living and Learning Centre, 156-158 High Street, from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday during the closure.

Holds can still be placed on books and can be picked up from the Broadford Living and Learning Centre.

Payment of rates can be completed at Australia Post at 123 High Street, Broadford.

They can also be paid over the phone by calling Council on (03) 5734 6200. Cash facilities are also available at Customer and Library Service Centres in Seymour, Kilmore and Wallan.
