Bronze Statue Stolen From Gilberton

Police are investigating the theft of a bronze statue from a fountain at Gilberton in the early hours of Friday morning.

About 2am on Friday 22 May, a bronze statue was stolen from the centre of a fountain situated in the car park of the Walkerville Council Chambers, on Walkerville Terrace, Gilberton.

The suspect was then captured on CCTV pushing a tarp-covered cream-coloured wheelbarrow west along Walkerville Terrace.

The suspect was wearing a high-vis orange hoodie and black trackpants with white stripes down the sides.

The bronze statue is of a person and is about 80 cm tall.
