The Crisafulli Government is delivering for Queensland with programs to deliver a place to call home for more Queenslanders, and an Energy Roadmap to deliver long-term structural cost relief for energy.

The Budget lays the foundation for a fresh start with more than $5 billion in 2025-26 for Queensland's Ssate-owned energy businesses to invest across the energy supply chain to deliver affordable, reliable and sustainable energy, and initiatives that will see more Queenslanders fulfill the Australian dream.

The Budget brings the total investment in CopperString to a record $2.4 billion by 2028-29, while delivering $1.6 billion over five years to support the Electricity Maintenance Guarantee and $435 million in 2025-26 to progress three pumped hydro projects.

In addition, CleanCo is investigating a new open-cycle gas turbine at Swanbank while Stanwell is progressing the 114-megawatt Lockyer Energy Project with Quinbrook.

The Budget also includes $479 million in 2025-26 for CS Energy to develop the 400-megawatt Brigalow Gas Peaker Project at Kogan Creek.

Treasurer and Minister for Energy and Home Ownership David Janetzki said the Crisafulli Government was driving down energy cost pressures and securing an affordable, reliable and sustainable energy future for all Queenslanders.

"We are delivering structural cost of living relief for Queenslanders with an Electricity Maintenance Guarantee that puts downward pressure on energy costs and properly maintains our energy generators," Treasurer Janetzki said.

"Labor's decade of underinvestment in maintenance left Queenslanders paying more on their power bills – including a 19.9 per cent increase in just one year.

"Our five-year Energy Roadmap will be a credible plan for the State's energy system to 2030, providing certainty for investors, communities and consumers.

"It will involve the private sector and, most importantly, it must work for our communities.

"We will also continue to progress projects including CopperString and small pumped-hydro projects for Queensland's future."

The Crisafulli Government is also delivering its Supercharged Solar for Renters Plan and investing in network and utility-scale batteries, so excess solar from Queensland roofs can be stored and used when it is needed.

The Supercharged Solar for Renters plan will provide rebates of up to $3,500 to eligible landlords for installing solar panels on rental properties.

The $26 million program is expected to help about 6,500 households and will target properties with existing tenancy agreements, ensuring benefits for renters.

The Budget includes funding for a range of measures to help more Queenslanders purchase their own home.

This includes extending the boosted $30,000 First Home Owner Grant until 30 June 2026 for new builds, abolishing stamp duty on new homes for first-home buyers and the new Boost to Buy home ownership scheme.

Mr Janetzki said this Budget was about delivering for Queenslanders.

"We promised to put home ownership within reach and that's what we're doing with this Budget," he said.

"We've already acted to abolish stamp duty for first-home buyers who purchase a new property and extended the First Home Owner Grant to $30,000 for another 12 months on new builds.

"The former Labor Government locked Queenslanders out of the housing market by failing to address cost of living and housing affordability but we are making their dream of home ownership a reality.

"The Budget also delivers the new nation-leading Boost to Buy home ownership scheme to reduce the deposit gap for aspiring Queensland home owners.

"These measures are all part of our plan to shift Queensland from the lowest home-ownership rate in the country to the top of the charts and help more Queenslanders fulfil the Australian dream."
