Bulgana Community Grants now open for 2019

The Bulgana Wind Farm Community Fund (BWFCF) is open for applications for 2019, with community organisations encouraged to apply for funding of up to $20,000 for projects that cover one of six community growth focus areas.

Neoen Australia, owner of Bulgana Wind Farm, will again commit $120,000 of funding to community organisations within Northern Grampians Shire, if their project aligns with:

● Environmental sustainability

● Health and wellbeing

● Strong connected communities

● Sport and recreation

● Arts and culture

● Skills education and training

Large grants of up to $20,000, and small grants of up to $5,000, are available.

It is the second year of the fund, with 19 community organisations receiving funding last year.

Large grants went to projects such as a tanker replacement for Joel Joel Fire Brigade, and replacement of chairs for Stawell Senior Citizens, while small grants went to projects such as a defibrillator for Stawell West Primary School and redevelopment of St Arnaud Neighbourhood House.

Mayor of Northern Grampians Shire Council, Cr Kevin Erwin said, "Thank you to Neoen once again for their generosity, this fund provides great assistance to all community groups to help them realise their dreams."

"We certainly encourage all community groups within our shire to apply for this next round of funding."

Applications for BWFCF 2019 funding close at 11.59pm, 1 September.
