Bulky Goods Kerbside Collection 2024

Narrandera Shire Council is running a kerbside collection of bulky goods commencing Monday 8 April 2024 to Thursday 11 April 2024. Please place items out no earlier than Saturday 6 April 2024 and no later than Sunday 7 April 2024 to ensure collection.
Barellan and Grong Grong are scheduled for collection Thursday 11 April 2024.
What you can include:
• Maximum 2 cubic metres.
• Furniture.
• Mattresses and bed bases.
• Non-recyclable household items.
• Rolled and tied up carpets up to 1.8m long (max 3 rolls).
• Empty hot water systems.
• Whitegoods - with doors removed.
• Metal.
• Small items should be placed out in unwanted bins/crates/boxes or neatly stacked for collection. Crates and tubs cannot be returned.
What you cannot include:
• Items over 1.8m long.
• Heavy items that can't be safely moved by two people.
• Liquid or commercial waste.
• Car parts, tyres, and oils.
• Sheet glass, mirrors, windows, and glass tables.
• Building material - including insulation, brick, rubble, kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities and asbestos.
• Hazardous waste - including smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, gas bottles, chemicals, paint, and car batteries.
• Vegetation, recyclable material, household garbage
• Polystyrene beads, put these in a strong plastic bag, expel the air and seal. Place in your red lidded waste bin.
• Small items like knives, forks, and spoons - Nothing smaller than a toaster.
By following the above guidelines and information the residents of Narrandera Shire will be ensuring the success of the kerbside collection service while maintaining a safe and tidy streetscape.
