Goulburn Mulwaree Council has commenced critical slope stabilisation and road rehabilitation works on Bungendore Road - near the Crisp Creek crossing. Work includes slope regrading, drainage and erosion control, pavement reconstruction, and safety barrier upgrades.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, weather permitting, and is expected to be completed by early October 2025.
There will be an increase in construction traffic and noise during this time, and Traffic Management will be in place. Road users should plan accordingly, for potential travel delays
As an important regional route, Council acknowledges the inconvenience the ongoing slippage has caused for residents, transport operators, and emergency services. The planned works aim to improve the stability of the area and help minimise the risk of future issues.
The project is jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements, enabling a timely response.
Council acknowledges the temporary inconvenience and appreciates the community's patience during these important upgrades.
