The upgraded Bungendore Sports Hub is now open, providing the community with much-needed facilities for multiple sports, including netball, rugby union, rugby league, soccer and Oztag.
It features sports fields, netball courts, a new amenities block, kitchen, bathrooms, storage rooms and officials' facilities. The playing fields have also been enhanced with the construction of four team dugouts, seating for at least 200 people, and the installation of field goals.
Dedicated paths will provide better access to playing fields and netball courts, the pavilion buildings have solar panels, and the car park has been improved with sealing, landscaping and solar lights.
The sports hub has been funded by more than $2.5 million from the Albanese Government, $3.5 million from the Minns Government and $1.8 million from council.
