Burglary and evade police arrest, WA

Midland Detectives have charged two 18 year old men and they are due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court this morning (14 July 2018) as a result of their involvement in several burglaries and a fail to stop incident.

It is alleged on 10 July 2018, one of the men attempted to gain entry into a home in Parmelia before being confronted by the home occupant causing the offender to flee, WA Police say.

Also on 10 July 2018, it is alleged one of the men forced entry into a Parmelia home and threatened the occupant with a screwdriver before fleeing with a packet of cigarettes.

Sometime between 11pm on 12 July and 6:30am on 13 July 2018, it is alleged the men gained entry to a home in Ballajura before stealing property and two motor vehicles (a Audi A4 and a Holden Commodore utility).

Around 1:30am this morning, 14 July 2018, police sighted the stolen Audi on Karrinyup Road, Karrinyup. It is alleged the driver failed to stop when requested to do so and a tyre deflation device (stinger) was deployed on Beach Road/Alexander Drive, Mirrabooka. The device was successful and the occupants fled on foot. They were arrested a short time later on the roof of a home in Woodbine Terrace, Mirrabooka.

An 18 year old man from Port Kennedy has been charged with:

•Steal Motor Vehicle and Drive Recklessly;

•Reckless Driving to Escape Pursuit by Police;

•Driver of Vehicle Failed to Comply with a Direction to Stop (in circumstances of aggravation); and

•No Authority to Drive.

An 18 year old man from Balga has been charged with:

•Steal Motor Vehicle;

•Attempted Home Burglary with Intent;

•Aggravated Home Burglary and Commit; and

•Armed Robbery
