Detectives are investigating after a home was broken into and two women threatened at Mermaid Waters this morning, Queensland Police say.
Initial investigations indicate around 8.30am, three men forcibly entered the residence on Hood Court armed with two hand guns and a knife.
Two women, aged 44 and 20, were threatened and a search of the home was performed by the men.
The three men demanded money, but when the occupants refused the trio left the address a short time later.
The 20-year-old woman was assaulted by one of the men but was not injured.
Investigations are continuing.
