Significant progress has been made on the Burke and Wills Track Pavement Rehabilitation project, with all road pavement stabilisation and initial surface seal successfully completed.
These works, which included strengthening the existing pavement using in-situ stabilisation methods and extensive drainage renewal, have significantly improved the road's condition and durability.
While the project is nearing completion, a final surface seal is still required. This will be completed within the next 12 months, ensuring the long-term performance and sustainability of the road.
The $2.386 million project was funded through Council's Sealed Road Renewal Program and the Federal Government's Roads to Recovery Program.
Council thanks the community for their patience during this important upgrade.
