RISKS FACED BY PEOPLE IN THE AREA: Smoke from this fire may affect visibility, Active fire may occur close to the roadside , Firefighting crews may be working close to the roadside.
WHAT TO DO: Monitor conditions as they are changing.
ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: The fire is being controlled by crews from NT Fire and Rescue and Bushfires NT. The immediate threat has passed but conditions may still change. Girraween Road remains closed to the public and motorists are asked to avoid unnecessary travel in the area to allow fire crews access.
Please continue to follow directions from Bushfires NT and NT Fire and Rescue crews, and report any flare-ups close to the fire edge to Triple Zero (000).
