Get ready for a burst of colour, culture, and celebration when Cabramatta Lunar New Year returns on Saturday 28 February 2026, welcoming the Year of the Horse with a full day of performances, family fun and festive energy.
The festival will take over Cabramatta Town Centre, including Freedom Plaza, Park Road, and Arthur Street; promising to deliver Western Sydney's most vibrant Lunar New Year celebration yet.
The 2026 program features a strong line-up of traditional lion and dragon dance performances, with shows scheduled throughout the afternoon and evening at the Pai Lau Gate. Families can enjoy a wide range of free activities, including face painting, balloon twisting, pony rides, amusement rides, children's craft activities, the popular Children's Chopstick Challenge, and meet-and-greets with Year of the Horse mascots.
The festival will also feature roaming entertainment, DJ performances, LED stilt walkers, cultural performances, a luxury car display, lantern installations, and a fireworks finale at 9pm.
