Call Goes Out To Join 2025 Electric Vehicle Showcase

Mildura Rural City Council's Electric Vehicle Showcase will return in 2025 following a second successful event in November 2024.

A chance for the community to learn more about electric transport options, and hear from local drivers, this year's event is scheduled to be held at Jaycee Park in conjunction with the Sunraysia Farmers and Makers Market from 8am to midday on Saturday 1 November 2025.

Councillor for Environmental and Sustainability Jodi Ewings said an expression of interest process was underway to attract vehicle, motorbike and bicycle dealerships and hire companies, charging network operators, and EV-related organisations to take part in the 2025 event.

"Successful applicants can host displays, stalls and test drives," Cr Ewings said.

"We're also calling on local EV drivers to display their vehicles and share their experiences.

"It's going to be another great opportunity to learn more about electric transport options and get up close and personal with the latest technology on the market."

Cr Ewings said the first two instalments of the Showcase had proved successful, with Council looking to build further on that success in 2025, attracting more stallholders, and attracting more locals and visitors to the event.

"We really want to hear from as many businesses, organisations and local owners as possible through this EOI process," Cr Ewings said.

"Those in attendance last year showed genuine interest in what's becoming available, with the EV industry only growing."
