The Cook Labor Government is calling for young people aged 18 to 25 to become a voice for Youth Week WA 2026 and help play a part in bringing the celebrations to life.

Each year four Youth Week Ambassadors are chosen to support the planning and co-ordination of Youth Week WA, with nominations for 2026 now open.

Youth Week WA is Western Australia's biggest celebration of young people and is an opportunity to recognise the valuable contributions of young people across the State.

Next year's Youth Week WA celebrations will be held from 10 to 16 April 2026.

Youth Week Ambassadors have proactive input into the design and delivery of events and initiatives for Youth Week WA and are the public face of the celebration.

Since 2020, the Youth Week Ambassador program has provided 12 young people with the opportunity to be a voice for their peers, develop leadership skills and build confidence.

This year's celebrations were held in April and included 70 free and accessible events and activities across the State.

The 2025 Youth Week WA Ambassadors Daisy Pilsworth, Emily Sullivan, Lissa Lee and Om Sharma were instrumental in shaping the celebrations.

Visit www.communities.wa.gov.au/youthweekwa for more information and to submit your application to become a Youth Week Ambassador by 24 August 2025.

As stated by Youth Minister Hannah Beazley:

"The Youth Week Ambassadors play an essential role in shaping Youth Week WA and ensuring the celebrations reflect the values and passions of young people right across the State.

"The Youth Week Ambassador program provides a platform for young people to advocate on behalf of their peers, inspire others and drive meaningful change.

"It's an opportunity to gain invaluable real-world experience working with government and youth sector organisations to help deliver the biggest event on WA's youth calendar.

"I want to extend a big thank you to this year's Youth Week Ambassadors Daisy, Emily, Lissa and Om who each contributed to making the 2025 event such a huge success.

"I strongly encourage young people to submit their nomination for the 2026 Youth Week Ambassador program and help build on the success of the 2025 celebrations."
