Camden Police Charge Duo in Robbery, Motorcycle Theft

Camden Police have charged two people following the alleged robbery of tobacconist and the theft of a motorcycle in Sydney's southwest this morning.

About 4am (Tuesday 25 November 2025), police were called to a home on Lumsdaine Street, Picton, following reports of a vehicle theft.

Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command were told unknown people had allegedly stolen a motorcycle from the front of the property before loading it onto a Toyota utility and leaving the scene.

A short time later, police were called to a tobacconist on Argle Street, Picton, following reports of a robbery.

Officers arrived and were told two unknown people had allegedly forced their way into the business before stealing $500 cash and a large amount of tobacco products with an estimated value of $1,200.

The pair then allegedly left the scene in a Toyota utility before police arrived.

A crime scene was established at both locations, with Camden Police commencing investigations into both incidents.

Following inquiries, police – with assistance from officers attached to Cumberland and Fairfield City Police Area Commands – located the Toyota at a home on Kalora Avenue, Fairfield West.

A search warrant was executed at the home, and following a search of the residence police located and seized the stolen motorcycle, the Toyota Utility – believed to also be stolen –, a cash register, electronic devices and cash.

Following the search, police arrested a 29-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman before taking both to Cabramatta Police Station.

Both were charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, take & drive conveyance without consent of owner, armed with intent to commit indictable offence, commit s114 offence, having previous conviction, and aggravated break & enter dwelling in company steal equal to or less than $60000.

They were both refused bail to appear before Fairfield Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 26 November 2025).
