Paint the Town REaD Social Inclusion Week Children's Booklist, where residents are
invited to borrow or purchase books to spark conversations with children about kindness,
inclusion and acceptance; and
• Inclusion Resource Kits, which are book packs designed to help preschools, schools,
mothers' groups and community organisations talk about disability, all abilities and
inclusion. The kits include 12 books, guides, activities and resources and residents can
borrow them from Camden Libraries.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said the week was an important reminder of the power of
connection.
"Social Inclusion Week gives us the chance to celebrate what makes Camden so unique - our
sense of belonging, our diversity and our commitment to looking out for one another," she said.
"Whether you come along to a youth BBQ, join a Storytime session or get involved at our big
Community Connection Day, there are plenty of ways to participate.
"I encourage everyone to take part, meet new people and celebrate what makes us stronger
together."
This year, the program is guided by the theme 'Connect, Collaborate and Celebrate!', highlighting
the importance of working together, building relationships and enjoying Camden's diversity.
