Cameron Bancroft charged with CA Code of Conduct breach

Cricket Australia (CA) advises that Western Warriors batter, Cameron Bancroft, has been charged with a Level 1 breach of the CA Code of Conduct in the latest round of the JLT Sheffield Shield against the Tasmanian Tigers on 14 March.

Bancroft was reported for breaching CA's Code of Conduct Article 2.1.2 – abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a Match.

Match Referee Steve Bernard considered the umpires' report and proposed a fine of 50% of Bancroft's match fee, as this was his second offence in an 18 month period.

Bancroft admitted to the offence and accepted the fine.
