Campaign delivers traders a boost

Council received about 60,000 tickets – representing a $600,000 spend – as part of a campaign to encourage local residents to support Esplanade traders during construction works to create a new Esplanade Dining Precinct and finish off the Shields Street Heart project.

Kicking off 22 January and running for 15 weeks, the Construction Cash campaign gave Far North Queensland residents the chance to win a share of a $15,000 prize pool.

Shoppers gained entry to two weekly $500 draws by spending $10 at a participating business.
