Today the Naval Reserve will mark 100 years of service to Canada with approximately 4,000 Naval Reservists marching in Freedom of the City parades across 24 Canadian cities.
From coast to coast, parades will be held in Naval Reserve unit communities including Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, and more. The Naval Reserve was founded in 1923 to provide critical augmentation and surge capability to the Royal Canadian Navy and continues to contribute support to the Canadian Armed Forces in operations at home and around the world.
