Police seized nearly 300 cannabis plants from an Onkaparinga Hills property last week in the culmination of a year-long drug investigation.
Since August 2025, Western District Police have searched a number of properties across metropolitan Adelaide as part of an investigation into the commercial cultivation and trafficking of cannabis.
The operation has resulted in five arrests and the dismantling of six commercial-scale cannabis cultivation sites.
The largest site was located at Onkaparinga Hills on 19 August 2026, with officers seizing 287 hydroponically grown cannabis plants.
Five men, aged 27, 29, 32, 33 and 43, all from the western suburbs, are already before the courts facing charges relating to the commercial cultivation of cannabis.
Investigations into the cultivation site at Onkaparinga Hills are ongoing, with no arrests to date.
The investigation has significantly disrupted organised crime offending and the production and supply of illicit cannabis within the South Australian community.
