Car sought in Mount Pleasant break-in found burnt out, SA

A stolen car being sought by police following a violent break-in at Mount Pleasant has been found burnt out early this morning, according to SA Police.

Police and fire crews were alerted to a car on fire along Eden Valley Road at Taunton just after 1am on Friday 10 March.

The fire was quickly extinguished but not before the stolen blue Ford Ranger Wildtrak was destroyed.

The Ford Ranger had been stolen during a break-in at Mount Pleasant on Friday 3 March where the occupants of the home were assaulted.

On Wednesday, police appealed to anyone with dash cam footage who may have travelled in the Adelaide Hills between 5am and 7.30am last Friday to review the footage to see if this vehicle is recorded.

In particular footage of interest may have been recorded by motorists driving in the Mount Pleasant, Springton, Eden Valley, Williamstown, Birdwood, Tungkillo, Gumeracha, Mount Torrens, Kersbrook, Forreston, Palmer, Walker Flat or surrounding areas.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious around the Springton and Taunton area overnight or spotted the blue Ford Ranger Wildtrak prior to the fire, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at http://crimestopperssa.com.au/
