Car stolen during robbery North East

Police are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted and her car stolen at Dernancourt this morning.

Just after 11.40am Wednesday 18 December the victim was in the car park of a Lower North East Road shopping complex when she was approached by a man who allegedly grabbed her hand bag out of her shopping trolley.

When the victim attempted to take her hand bag back from the suspect he allegedly assaulted her, before taking her 2018 white Holden Trax SUV, SA registration S829CAD.

The victim, a 68-year-old Truro woman, was assessed by paramedics at the scene.

The suspect is described as Caucasian male, tanned complexion, short dark hair, aged in his 30s.
