Serving their local community is an important component of Carinity Education students receiving a rounded educational experience.
This includes Carinity Education Southside at Brisbane. Senior students undertake Service Learning, which is all about taking time to help others in a volunteering capacity.

The students learn to grow within their own community by connecting with others in a positive way and experience the joy, empathy and compassion that togetherness can bring.
Our Year 12 group have engaged in a range of activities including visiting residents at Carinity Wishart Gardens aged care home, and supporting the Books For PNG initiative.
Another activity has seen students volunteer at The Little Vege Patch, a community garden in Springwood.
It is a place for community members to cultivate their own produce, explore the art of gardening, and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
While volunteering at The Little Vege Patch, Carinity Education Southside students have undertaken roles including weeding, watering, planting, mowing, fertilising and soil cultivation.
"The students work pretty hard at completing their tasks each week, and have a lot of fun on the way," supervising teacher Bill Reinhold said.
"They enjoy the act of giving their time in developing the community garden further."
