Carpenter, Staley Discuss Teaching Art, Life Sept. 25

Chris Staley, distinguished professor emeritus of art, will discuss his book, "Teaching Art and Life," with B. Stephen Carpenter II, Michael J. and Aimee Rusinko Kakos Dean in the College of Arts and Architecture, at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, in the Woskob Family Gallery, located at 146 S. Allen St. in State College. The conversation is part of Carpenter's series of talks with faculty authors.

Directed at both art educators and students, the book delves into 40 compelling topics, including the delicate balance between vulnerability and self-discovery in the critique process and the transformative role of play and experimentation in fostering creativity. Light refreshments will follow the conversation.
