Works will begin this week on the final 25 terrace home lots at Carseldine Village.
Delivery of the homes in Stage 4B, as well as the Stage V development lots, are being supported by a $7.8 million investment from the Queensland Government, with Queensland-owned civil construction company Shadforth set to commence works.
Release of these final terrace house and land packages is anticipated by May 2023.
When Stage 4B is completed, Carseldine Village will contain 182 residential freehold terrace homes.
Carseldine Village is being developed by Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) on the site of the former QUT campus at Carseldine.
The masterplan for Carseldine Village is currently being developed over seven stages and will be complete within the next three to five years, subject to market demand, and will provide for up to 606 dwellings once complete.
Each home will have PV solar, battery storage, Wi-Fi air-conditioning systems controlled by smart phones, and heat pump hot water systems, saving homeowners substantial savings on electricity bills.
Additionally, garages will include a power outlet ready to accommodate a future electric vehicle charger.
With Carseldine Village, the Queensland Government, through EDQ, is pushing the boundaries, and making sustainable living affordable
It will consist of mixed use, diverse and affordable residential, aged care, small commercial and retail, along with bushland and recreational open space areas.
At Carseldine Village, over 75 per cent of the natural bushland on the original site is retained and there is more than 18 hectares of green and open space.
