Cash and drugs seized in Cranbourne

Southern Metro Divisional Response Unit detectives arrested five people and seized cash and drugs in Cranbourne last night.

Officers executed a warrant as a part of Operation Ewok, targeting alleged drug trafficking at a Von Nida Court address just before 8pm.

More than $2000 in cash was allegedly located and a quantity of what is believed to be methamphetamine and heroin.

Two men aged 30 and 24, and a woman aged 54, were all arrested at the scene.

Two 30-year-old women were also arrested allegedly in possession of GHB.

They have all been released and are expected to be charged with trafficking a drug of dependence.

The investigation remains ongoing.
