Cast iron columns stolen from Helena Valley

Midland Detectives are seeking information regarding the theft of 41 cast iron columns from a commercial property in Helena Valley earlier this year.

Unknown offenders have entered the property and stolen the columns which have a very distinctive Corinthian style capitals and fluted bases. They are 6m high and weigh about 3 tonnes.

The columns were made in 1912 and used in the Boans Department Store before it was knocked down and are valued at approximately $490,000.
