A man will be without his car for 30 days after he was detected drink driving in Caulfield North this morning.
Police were patrolling the area following reports a man was found asleep in the front garden of a residence on Kooyong Road just before 6am.
The man was asked to leave by a resident and left in a white Toyota ute.
Police intercepted the ute a short time later in Carinya Crescent where he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.153.
His ute was subsequently impounded at a cost of $932.40.
The 27-year-old Belmont man is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving offences
