CBD busker assault, South Australia

A man has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted a busker in Rundle Mall today.

At 12pm Wednesday 19 February police were called after a man allegedly assaulted a busker using the buskers own ukulele. Quick thinking members of the public came to the assistance of the victim and were able to restrain the suspect until police arrived.

A 29-year-old Clearview man is expected to be charged with theft, property damage, assault cause harm, carry offensive weapon, unlawful possession, and possess controlled drug and equipment.

The victim received non-life threatening injuries.
