CBSA Confiscates 14kg+ Cocaine at Toronto Pearson Airport

Canada Border Services Agency

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is helping to keep our communities safe by disrupting the flow of illicit drugs into Canada. The CBSA announced today the seizure of over 14 kg of suspected cocaine, found in a commercial aircraft at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

On November 3, 2023, border services officers working with the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Region's Specialized Border Interdiction Unit, examined a plane arriving from the Caribbean. Upon inspection of the plane's rear cargo hold, 12 rectangular packages were discovered. The contents were field tested and returned as positive for suspected cocaine.

This seizure kept an estimated $1.8 million worth of narcotics off the streets. The RCMP were contacted and took custody and control of the evidence.
