CCTV images released as police appeal after assault at petrol station in Wilberforce

Police have released CCTV images and are appealing for public assistance following an assault at a petrol station in Sydney’s north west last month, NSW Police say.

Just after 10pm on Saturday 1 September 2018, two men travelling in a black Nissan Navara stopped at a petrol station on Wilberforce Road, Wilberforce.

They approached the attendant, who was in the process of closing the store, and demanded to be served.

When they were told the petrol station had closed, the two men became aggressive and assaulted the attendant.

The men fled and were last seen travelling south on Putty Road, Wilberforce.

The injured man was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Nepean Hospital for treatment of a broken jaw.

Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command attended and as part of their investigation CCTV images of a vehicle and a man seen leaving the area have been released.

The vehicle depicted is a Nissan Navara dual cab with a large blue ‘Shimano’ sticker on the rear window.

Detectives would also like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The men are described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, of medium build and average height, and small dark beards.

Anyone with information about the men or vehicle are asked to come forward.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
