CCTV released as investigation continues into armed robbery - Hornsby

Police have released CCTV and are appealing for information from the community following an armed robbery in Sydney's north in July.

About 4.45pm on Sunday 3 July 2022, police were called to a grocery store on Burdette Street, Hornsby, following reports of an armed robbery.

Officers attached to Kuring-Gai Police Area Command attended and were told a man entered the store and threatened an employee with a pair of pliers, demanding cash.

The man stole cash before fleeing on foot. He was last seen heading north on Hunter Lane.

The employee was not injured during the incident.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, investigators have released CCTV and are appealing for public assistance to identify a man who may be able assist with their inquiries.

The man is depicted as being of Caucasian appearance, about 20 years of age, 165cm to 170cm tall, thin build, with dark hair and unshaven. He was wearing a dark blue hooded jumper with the hood pulled over his head, long black pants, black gloves and black work boots. He was carrying a pair of white handled pliers.
