Police have released CCTV as investigations continue into a suspicious fire which damaged a salon at Burwood last month.
About 5am on Friday 13 June 2025, emergency services were called to a shop on Burwood Road, Burwood, following reports of a fire.
Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command attended alongside Fire and Rescue NSW crews who extinguished the blaze.
The fire resulted in the evacuation of a residential complex above the shop.
No injuries were reported; however, the shop sustained minor damage.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the fire.
Last week, on two occasions (Wednesday 2 July 2025 and Saturday 5 July 2025), police were called to the same location following reports several males were seen attempting to gain access to the premises.
The men left the scene prior to the arrival of police.
As investigations are ongoing, police have released CCTV of two men seen in the vicinity of the shop, who detectives believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The first man is described as being of a medium build and was depicted wearing an orange high-viz jumper and dark-coloured pants with high-viz stripes.
The second man is described as being of a thin build and was depicted wearing a dark-coloured hooded jumper with white stripes and black pants.
The two men are believed to have left the scene along Nicholl Lane following the fire.
