More than 1,200 jobs will be available across the Territory, in the lead up to the August Census.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics is currently recruiting to fill the positions, which range from field managers and officers, to remote area management team leaders, to local engagement officers and more.
287 roles will be available in Darwin, while the remaining 987 positions will be filled in Alice Springs, and regional and remote areas across the Territory.
Staff will be employed on short-term contracts with variable working hours including weekdays, weekends and evenings.
The Census is carried out every five years by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
It is used to make decisions around housing, schools, education, health and aged care, roads, language centres and community programs.
Completing the Census is compulsory, and it is critical to include everyone who is staying in your home on Census night, such as Elders, babies and visitors.
Including the correct numbers and demographics will ensure the right services can be provided to local communities.
