Center For Pedagogy In Arts And Design To Host AI Builders Event

Pennsylvania State University

The Center for Pedagogy in Arts and Design (CPAD), a cross-disciplinary partnership between the College of Arts and Architecture and Teaching and Learning with Technology at Penn State, will lead the AI Builders event, a problem-to-prototype workshop, from 2-4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, in 113 Borland Building.

The workshop will be based on research design principles and accessible AI tools to support prototype development, guiding faculty, staff and students through the problems they face in their teaching and working lives. Anyone from the University community can drop in for a few minutes or the entire program.

The event will include discussions regarding ethics and near future realities in education. CPAD hopes to build a cohort of faculty, staff and students who want to continue developing and sharing their ideas throughout the academic year.

A series of follow-up workshops will be held in the spring. Individual consultation meetings can be made by request, and CPAD AI office hours will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. starting Oct. 29. Faculty seeking more information or individual consultations should respond to this form.
