The Finocchiaro CLP Government is charging ahead in its year of action, certainty and security with a stellar line-up of keynote speakers and Territory Success Stories for October Business Month (OBM), including in Central Australia.
Paul Graham, Managing Director of Asbuild will be one of three Territory Success Stories showcased at the Alice Springs Keynote event with Carolyn Creswell CEO of Carman's Kitchen on 8 October.
Mr Graham founded Asbuild in 2007 as a commercial construction company, but has since extended into developments, scaffolding, and wall and truss manufacturing.
During a visit to Alice Springs, Minister for Trade, Business and Asian Relations Robyn Cahill met with Mr Graham to learn first-hand about his business.
"Paul and his business are a wonderful example of a Territory Success Story to showcase what is possible and to inspire other Territory business owners.
"Through the OBM program we are supporting business leaders to learn and grow their business to play a role to rebuild the economy and restore our unique Territory lifestyle," said Ms Cahill.
Mr Graham believes Asbuild's strength is its staff and maintains company resilience by always being ready to learn and be responsive to change.
"I have always been quite a motivated person from a young age. What drives me is to not fail or, at least, not fail too hard and then learn when it happens."
"I am often analysing our environment to try to read the play to maintain a continual and stable work environment. Business is like a wheelbarrow - if you don't push it and steer it, it will not go anywhere," said Mr Graham.
OBM is an opportunity for businesses to come together to network, feel inspired and learn and share information from each other.
The OBM program has been revised to support the needs of small to medium businesses, with this year's theme 'Play to our strengths'.
OBM 2025 will focus on three supporting themes: digitalisation, workforce, and resilience.
