Detectives are appealing for information as an investigation continues into three vehicle fires at Umina Beach earlier this year.
On Thursday 30 January 2025, Tuesday 4 March 2025 and Wednesday 23 July 2025, three vehicles were set alight and destroyed outside homes on Priestman Avenue, Umina Beach.
Police attached to Brisbane Water Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into the incidents, which are believed to be targeted.
As inquiries continue under Strike Force Penhold, detectives have released CCTV of a man seen in the area near the time of the fires.
In the incident in January 2025, the man is described as wearing a grey hoodie with white tracksuit pants.
In the incident in March 2025, the man is depicted wearing a blue hoodie with a black symbol on the front, long blue pants with a black symbol on the left leg, and a black face mask.
In the July 2025 incident, the man is depicted wearing a full-face motorbike helmet, dark overcoat, long light-coloured pants, and work boots.
