Central Coast communities are set to benefit from upgraded health facilities, following a funding boost of more than $1.8 million from the Minns Labor Government to deliver minor capital works projects.
This funding for Central Coast Local Health District is part of the Minns Government's $12 million Regional Health Minor Works Program.
Delivered over two years, the program will support essential infrastructure upgrades and enhance health facilities across regional, rural and remote NSW, ensuring they continue to meet the needs of local communities and deliver high-quality care.
This investment will support Central Coast Local Health District to deliver a range of projects, including:
- To refurbish five Community Health Centres across the Central Coast region to enhance consumer areas, upgrade finishes and support telehealth capability.
- To reconfigure an existing Acute Aged Care inpatient unit at Gosford Hospital to create an eight bed, purpose designed Special Care Unit.
- To expand and reconfigure the Emergency Department ambulance triage and streaming zone at Gosford Hospital to help relieve pressure and enhance access.
This funding builds on the Minns Labor Government's $11.9 billion investment to deliver 32 new or upgraded hospitals as part of the 2026-27 Budget. This includes nearly $3 billion over four years for hospitals across regional NSW.
