Canada has much to offer: breathtaking landscapes, diverse and inclusive experiences, and outstanding hospitality. Our communities flourish when they have vibrant, welcoming places where people can gather and enjoy recreational activities, programs and events. That is why the Government of Canada continues to help organizations and tourism businesses seize new opportunities to attract visitors and bring people back to shared public spaces.

Today, Heath MacDonald, Member of Parliament for Malpeque, announced total investments of $143,600 for six projects in the Central P.E.I. region, including three through the Tourism Relief Fund (TRF), two through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF), and one through the Business Development Program (BDP). The announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Official Languages and Minister responsible for ACOA.

The investments will enable the organizations to improve the public spaces and tourism experiences available in their communities. Together, these enhancements will help make Central P.E.I. a more attractive and vibrant place to both visit and live.

Today's announcement further demonstrates the government's commitment to help communities, businesses and the tourism industry recover, thrive and grow - creating jobs and improving the quality of life for all Canadians.
