Central West Fugitive Charged with Traffic, Property Crimes

A man wanted on an outstanding warrant in the state's central west has been charged.

About 7.30am yesterday (Wednesday 3 April 2024), police were patrolling Parkes when they sighted a Holden ute in a driveway at a home on Victoria Street, Parkes.

Police spoke with the occupant of the home and arrested a 31-year-old man inside. He was taken to Parkes Police Station.

Following inquiries, the outstanding warrant was executed for traffic-related offences, and he was also charged with:

  • drive conveyance taken without consent of owner (x3)
  • break and enter house steal value
  • Enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse (x2)
  • Larceny (x2), and
  • destroy or damage property (x5).

The man was refused bail to appear at Parkes Local Court today (Thursday 4 April 2024).
