CFA crews attend Bulla tip fire

Country Fire Authority (CFA) firefighters responded to reports of a rubbish fire at a Bulla tip site at 6.15am on Tuesday, 22 September.

On arrival, a large pile of rubbish was burning and producing black smoke.

The fire size is approximately 80m x 80m.

A community advice message has been issued to Melbourne Airport and surrounding suburbs.

As at 9.40am this morning, 19 CFA vehicles attended the incident site, from Bulla, Wildwood, Toolern, Clarkefield, Greenvale, Sunbury, Craigieburn, Riddells Creek, Diggers Rest, Melton, Mt Cottrell Group and District 14 HQ. Fire Rescue Victoria crews are supporting.

Crews are working with tip operators to pull apart the pile of rubbish to further extinguish the fire.
