CFMEU Victoria Proudly Partners With Movember

CFMEU

The CFMEU Victorian branch is proud to announce their partnership this year with Movember.

The support of our members health and safety lies at the core of our union and we are constantly striving to raise awareness of important issues that affect everyday society.

For the month of November, union members' will have the opportunity to become Mo Bros or Mo Sistas by committing to grow a mo', host an event or move to support significant men's health issues such as testicular cancer, prostate cancer as well as mental health & suicide prevention.

This partnership with Movember also supports our partnership with Incolink and their Bluehats initiative which includes an Incolink bus and on-site counselling at CFMEU worksites.

The CFMEU Victorian branch will be taking part in a wide range of activities for Movember including a shave down today to launch the campaign, toolbox talks, and an Incolink/Movember/CFMEU event.

On November 11, Incolink will be at the CFMEU Victoria head office with their Incolink Bus, providing on-site prostate and testicular checks. This will be supported by talks from Movember ambassadors who have personally experienced mental health issues or prostate and testicular cancer in their lives. Members will be encouraged to give a gold coin donation to the CFMEU Victoria team at the event.

Everyone's getting involved, including CFMEU Vic/Tas state Secretary John Setka; we can't wait to see his mo' attempt!

We look forward to taking part and solidifying our partnership with Movember for years to come and urge those to support CFMEU Victoria in our endeavours.

Mo' on in unity.
