Champagne Hosts Pre-Budget Talks in Charlottetown

Charlottetown, PEI - On July 14th and 15th, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Finance and National Revenue, will be in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

While there, the Minister will meet with his provincial and territorial counterparts as part of the Finance Ministers' Meeting to discuss, among other things, shared priorities, with emphasis on advancing a Growth and Competitiveness Agenda and building a stronger, more competitive Canadian economy amid global uncertainty.

The Minister will also meet with Charlottetown Mayor Philip Brown and local stakeholders to discuss their Budget 2026 priorities and exchange views on key economic issues.

Meeting with Mayor Brown:

The Minister and Mayor's meeting will revolve around the collaborative approach both offices are taking to address affordability challenges and ensure regional interests are represented in government policy. Minister Champagne and Mayor Brown will speak to media following their meeting.
