Charge over Eagle Vale stabbing, NSW

A man has been charged over a stabbing in Sydney's south-west overnight.

About 10:50pm (Friday 25 January 2019), emergency services were called to Cornelian Avenue, Eagle Vale, and found a 23-year-old man with stab wounds to his left arm, leg and chest.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he has now undergone surgery.

Police have been told he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A short time later, officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command arrested a 20-year-old man nearby on Eagle Vale Drive, Eagle Vale.

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he has now been charged with reckless grievous bodily harm.

The man, from Eschol Park, has been refused bail to appear in Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Sunday 27 January 2019).
